A generation running on low battery.
Young adults are carrying a lot: unstable work, a world that feels like it’s unraveling, and the creeping worry that AI could make their skills obsolete. About 1 in 3 Gen Z say they feel anxious or stressed most of the time.¹ The default escape, endless scrolling, often leaves them feeling more drained.
So many are reaching for something else: toys, charms, and collectibles. Small, tactile things that let them feel carefree again, the way they did as kids. US toy sales for adults 18+ rose 18% year over year in the first half of 2025.²
