My journey as a designer started long before I picked up my first digital tool. At age 12, I received my first handwritten letter from Adina, my first pen pal friend in Turkey—the texture of the paper, the foreign stamps, the faint exotic scent—gave me a profound sense of connection to someone I had never met. 💌 That feeling still drives my work: designing experiences that bring people closer.
I graduated with honors from ArtCenter College of Design with a BFA in Illustration, concentrating in Motion Graphics, and a minor in Business. There, I built my foundation in visual storytelling and branding.
Then I taught. Over 3 years at AMAi Art & Design, I led classes in foundational and figure drawing, creative thinking, multidisciplinary design, and UI/UX for students of all levels. Teaching turned out to be the best UX training I could have asked for: every class was a live usability test, and every confused face was feedback to act on. It taught me how people learn, how to communicate clearly, and how to lead with empathy.
From there, I moved into product design, exploring UX, interaction design, and emerging technology. I’ve since led design for an award-winning AI-powered social coaching platform in mixed reality, and designed a build-your-own shopping experience for a small e-commerce brand I run with a friend.
Today, my goal is to create intuitive, human-centered products that connect people through warm, thoughtful storytelling.
